Walter Lynn Mosley studied privately with Bob Gerbracht in San Jose, California and with Maynard Stewart at San Jose State University in the eighties before moving to New York in 1988. He came to New York to study at the Art Students League where he studied with George Passantino and then for many years with Frank Mason. After a hiatus of eight years, he returned to the League where he is currently studying with Tom Torak.
Walter is an American Artists Professional League Fellow and has also exhibited with the Allied Artists of America, the Audubon Artists and the Salmagundi Club (all in New York) as well as the Greenhouse Gallery and the American Impressionists Society. He was chosen as a participant in the Easton Plein Air Arts Festival. and the Teaching Studios of Art Plein Air Competition.
